About Global E-School
Global E-School is a new on-line school that offers inexpensive classes by over 60 instructors. Instructors decide what to teach and write their own courses. Only those classes currently open are listed in the course catalog, so the list of available courses is short, but changing constantly. Many of the classes are 2-3 week training sessions or mini-classes that aim at developing specific skills like conversational Italian, writing a website, and math skills for high school science classes. Some classes are free. Others start at $10.00. Most start at $240.00.
Don't let the newness or the inexpensive price fool you. Among the teachers at the school are college professors and educational specialists, certified trainers, certified/licensed teachers, and IT professionals. The faculty is multinational, in both citizenship and residency, but the school administration's "location" is central Texas.
I am authoring science classes there. Currently I offer 3-6 week classes on special topics of science suitable for grades 6-12. These classes are designed as short courses for homeschoolers and GED Prep, or as enrichment or remediation for secondary science students.
